It is operated by Cedar Fair and is one of the top theme parks in the country, averaging about 4 million visitors each year. It has many exciting attractions and rides, including the Jaguar coaster and Ghost Town.
Ghost Town
Designed by Paul von Klieben, the Bird Cage Theater at Ghost Town at Knott’s Berry Park is a replica of the actual Bird Cage Theater in Tombstone, Arizona. It opened in 1954 and was a popular venue for melodramas. The building is still in operation and hosts special events. The original Bird Cage Theater was built in 1879 near Beloit, Kansas, and moved to its present site in 1952. It is one of the most popular attractions in the area.
In addition to the rides and attractions, Ghost Town at Knott’s Berry Park also features a live show called Ghost Town Alive! that is performed by actors in period-style era-appropriate costumes. It is a must-see attraction for children and adults of all ages.
Jaguar Coaster
A kid-friendly roller coaster called The Jaguar may be found at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. The attraction debuted to the public in 1995 after being created by Werner Stengel and constructed by Zierer. Both adults and kids enjoy the attraction that is the ride.
Initially, the Jaguar was supposed to debut in May 1995. On June 17, 1995, it first opened. The attraction is the third-oldest still in operation and the sixth coaster to open at Knott’s. Instead of a conventional chain lift, the coaster makes use of a booster wheel lift hill. A great place to also visit is
Jaguar at Knott’s Berry Farm
Located in Buena Park, California, Jaguar at Knott’s Berry Farm is a family sit-down roller coaster from Zierer. It opened in 1995 and is the park’s fourth roller coaster still in operation. It features two train layouts, each with 15 cars and two riders.
The Jaguar roller coaster begins inside a Mayan temple and runs above the Fiesta Village. After descending into a spiral turn, the Jaguar flies over the temple roof and then threads the loop of Montezooma’s Revenge. Once it reaches the top, the ride then circles back to the park’s Timber Mountain Log Ride. The park’s Jaguar roller coaster follows the same Zierer Tivoli layout.
Scary Farm
If you’re looking for an exciting Halloween experience, the Scary Farm at Knott’s is the perfect place to head. This haunted attraction features 17 scare zones and over 1,000 frightful creatures. The Scary Farm is open select nights from September 22 through October 31.
For many people, Halloween means trick-or-treating and dressing up in costumes. Knott’s Haunt, which began as a seedling in 1973, has become a staple of Halloween celebrations.
Holiday Events
The Knott’s Berry Farm holiday season is full of fun activities. The park transforms into a festive holiday destination in mid-November and runs through early January. The events include a Christmas parade, holiday shows and atmosphere talent, and traditional holiday experiences. In December, the park extends its hours from 4 p.m. to midnight, and there is a countdown to midnight as well. You can even enjoy a buffet at Spur’s Restaurant.
Guests can enjoy a wide variety of holiday treats, including funnel cake with pumpkin pie and maple syrup sauce, and apple pie spiced loaves. In addition, Knott’s Christmas Crafts Village is back this year, featuring handmade crafts by local artists. You can also purchase holiday-themed apparel and holiday-themed goods.
Chaperone Policy
The new Knott’s Berry Farm chaperon policy is an extension of the park’s previous policy, which required guests under the age of 17 to be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21. The policy is in place on weekends, weekdays, and on the Scary Farm event nights.
The policy is designed to prevent fights and other unacceptable behavior. Since its implementation on July 22, attendance has dropped significantly. The attraction is holding on to the policy and will be adding additional days to the schedule, but is also considering alternatives to the chaperone rule.
